Seeking Supervision
RBTs must actively seek guidance when they are unsure about a procedure or encounter a new behavior. Do not "guess" – ask!
- Clinical Questions: "I noticed a new behavior today. How should I track it?"
- Ethical Dilemmas: "A parent offered me a gift. What is our company policy?"
- Role Clarity: "Is this task within my scope of practice as an RBT?"
E.3
Reporting Variables
Many factors outside of therapy can affect a client's performance. These "setting events" must be reported to the supervisor.
